Sharing Southeast Asian stories, one box at a time.
Tuk Tuk Box was inspired by the idea of creating a bridge through food where we can be in community with one another.
What is a tuk tuk?
The tuk tuk is an iconic symbol of Southeast Asian lifestyle, and is often referred to in some regions as a ‘tricycle,’ ‘pigeon,’ ‘auto,’ or ‘lapa.’ The vehicle can be identified by its motorized 3-wheeled rickshaw design and the low putt-putt sound it makes while chugging down the road.
What makes Tuk Tuk Box different from other subscription boxes?
Tuk Tuk Box focuses exclusively on Southeast Asian products and ingredients and includes refugee, migrant, and generational stories in every box.
We have 3 core values:
Exclusive: We are currently the only US based Southeast Asian subscription snack box on the market.
Supportive: Tuk Tuk Box is owned by Southeast Asian women who are daughters of immigrants and refugees. With every box we highlight a Southeast Asian chef or small business owner, helping to create opportunities for the diaspora.
Cooking for a Cause: With every subscription, Tuk Tuk Box gives back to the community through our charity partner Courageous Kitchen, a 501c3 food education non-profit benefiting refugee families living in Bangkok, Thailand and San Diego, California.

Where do you ship?
We ship orders to any U.S. or APO/FPO address. We cannot ship internationally or to U.S. territories at this time. Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii may require additional time for delivery. Orders shipping to an APO/FPO military address or a post office box may only be shipped via USPS Ground delivery and cannot be expedited.
*Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.
Where is my box?
We ship subscription boxes on the 15th of every month. One time purchase boxes will be shipped out within 3 business days of ordering. Please allow 5-7 business days from time of shipment for your box to arrive.
You will receive a USPS tracking number that allows you to follow your box’s journey to your home! You will receive an email confirmation upon ordering, and the tracking number once your box has shipped.
If your box has not been delivered within 14 days from the original order date, please contact us at email@example.com.
**U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail products and First-Class packages may require more time to be delivered due to limited transportation availability as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) impacts on the United States. The Postal Service’s goal continues to be to move packages as expeditiously as possible.
What’s in my box?
Our Southeast Snacks box will offer a variety of 8-10 handpicked snacks exclusively from Southeast Asia, including a yummy instant noodle pack and refreshing drink. Designed for adventurous on-the-go eaters, we will feature a new theme every month along with a ‘Snackenger Hunt’ card for you to keep track of all of your favorite foods!
Ever tried salted egg chips from Singapore? How about dried squid from Thailand? No worries, we’ve got you covered! Along with your curated snacks we’ll throw in some extra goodies to help immerse you into Southeast Asian culture. Additionally, there will be a special Southeast Asian feature story or surprise gift from our Tuk Tuk team or one of our wonderful community partners.
Who do we work with?
We partner with vetted small business owners and local farmers to share carefully crafted ingredients and recipes from our own community. We're proud to showcase Unison Creative for all of our website photography, and our graphic designer Tina Nguyen for all of our beautiful illustrations.
Are you a Southeast Asian business owner or chef? We’d love to feature you in our boxes! Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I customize what’s in my box?
Unfortunately, not at this time. The reason we created our box was for you to try the diverse array of goods that our Southeast Asian community has to offer. There will be specialty products featured month to month with information to purchase them directly from the purveyor. However, if there’s something specific you absolutely love or do not love, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your unique palate!
What is your cancellation policy?
All subscriptions can be canceled at any time before their next monthly payment date to prevent the subscription from renewing. There is no cancellation fee. If your product arrives damaged or opened, please notify us immediately at email@example.com and we will make sure to exchange or refund your original purchase order.
What if I have a food allergy?
Upon ordering please let us know your dietary restrictions or allergies. We can offer vegetarian and nut-free options for most items, but currently cannot accommodate all allergens. While not all products are made in the same facility, Tuk Tuk Box snacks may be made in facilities with products that also contain milk, egg, fish, wheat, soy, and shellfish.
Who is your charity partner?
Our charity partner, Courageous Kitchen, works with vulnerable children in Bangkok, Thailand. These children are at risk of extreme poverty, malnutrition, and have a lack of access to education and safe shelter. We are dedicated to donating proceeds from every subscription to help feed a family in need! Visit Courageous Kitchen to find out more.
I love your mission! Can I add a donation to my subscription?
Yes, of course! Please check out our current fundraiser and Tuk Tuk Box wish list on I Fund Women.
