Sharing Southeast Asian stories, one box at a time.
Tuk Tuk Box was inspired by the idea of creating a bridge through food where we can be in community with one another.
As a subscriber, inside each month's box you'll find a curated theme and a small gift from us to you!
What is a tuk tuk?
The tuk tuk is an iconic symbol of Southeast Asian lifestyle, and is often referred to in some regions as a ‘tricycle,’ ‘pigeon,’ ‘auto,’ 'bajaj' or ‘lapa.’ The vehicle can be identified by its motorized 3-wheeled rickshaw design and the low putt-putt sound it makes while chugging down the road.
What makes Tuk Tuk Box different from other subscription boxes?
Tuk Tuk Box focuses exclusively on Southeast Asian products and ingredients and includes refugee, migrant, and generational stories in every box.
We have 3 core values:
Exclusively Owned: We are female founded and proud! We are currently the only US based Southeast Asian subscription snack box on the market.
Supportive: Tuk Tuk Box is owned by Southeast Asian women who are daughters of immigrants and refugees. With every box we highlight a Southeast Asian chef or small business owner, helping to create opportunities for the diaspora.
Cooking for a Cause: With every subscription, Tuk Tuk Box gives back to the community through our charity partner Courageous Kitchen, a 501c3 food education non-profit benefiting refugee families living in Bangkok, Thailand and San Diego, California.

Who do we work with?
We partner with vetted small business owners and local farmers to share carefully crafted ingredients and recipes from the Southeast Asian or greater BIPOC community. We're proud to showcase Unison Creative for all of our website photography, and our graphic designer Tina Nguyen for all of our beautiful illustrations.
Are you a Southeast Asian or BIPOC business owner or chef? We’d love to feature you in our boxes! Please contact us at email@example.com.
Can I customize what’s in my box?
Unfortunately, not at this time. The reason we created our box was for you to try the diverse array of goods that our Southeast Asian community has to offer. There will be specialty products featured month to month with information to purchase them directly from the purveyor. However, if there’s something specific you absolutely love or do not love, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your unique palate!
Can I purchase in bulk or for corporate gifting?
Yes! We love packing gifts as much as you love giving them. Please reach out for corporate inquiries or bulk order discounts.
What is your cancellation policy?
All subscriptions can be canceled at any time before their next monthly payment date to prevent the subscription from renewing. There is no cancellation fee. If your product arrives damaged or opened, please notify us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make sure to exchange or refund your original purchase order.
What if I have a food allergy?
Upon ordering please let us know your dietary restrictions or allergies. We can offer vegetarian and nut-free options for most items, but currently cannot accommodate all allergens. While not all products are made in the same facility, Tuk Tuk Box snacks may be made in facilities with products that also contain milk, egg, fish, wheat, soy, and shellfish.
Who is your charity partner?
Our charity partner, Courageous Kitchen, works with vulnerable children in Bangkok, Thailand. These children are at risk of extreme poverty, malnutrition, and have a lack of access to education and safe shelter. We are dedicated to donating proceeds from every subscription to help feed a family in need! Visit Courageous Kitchen to find out more.
How does Tuk Tuk Box Practice Sustainability?
We use recycled paper in all our boxes that we send out to our customers as a small way to practice sustainability. We also advocate for food justice and teach sustainability methods to our students at Courageous Kitchen.
I love your mission! Can I add a donation to my subscription?
